No legal entity has been registered for this service. No company name, address, or jurisdiction has been established. The operator of this service must supply an entity name, official postal address, and supervisory authority before this policy binds any legal person. Until then, this document describes the data practices of the tool as it currently operates.
What data is collected
robotsread does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
The tool operates as a stateless Cloudflare Worker. When you submit a URL for checking:
- The URL you submit is forwarded to the Worker to perform the fetch and analysis
- The Worker fetches the target URL and its robots.txt over HTTP
- The results (verdict, signals, fetch statuses) are returned to your browser as a JSON response
- No part of the request or response is logged, stored in a database, or retained after the response is delivered
Cookies and tracking
robotsread does not set cookies, use local storage for persistent tracking, or embed any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking scripts. The site uses no external resources beyond the web fonts loaded from Google Fonts (Space Mono, IBM Plex Sans, IBM Plex Mono) and the icons served from the same origin.
Data sharing
No data is shared with third parties because no data is collected. The URLs you check are sent only to the Worker that processes the request and are not forwarded, logged, or stored anywhere.
Data retention
There is no data retention. Every request is ephemeral: the URL and its analysis exist only in the Worker's memory for the duration of the request and are discarded immediately after the response is sent.
Your rights
Because no personal data is collected, there is nothing to access, correct, delete, or export. If you have questions about this privacy policy, contact the operator through the channels listed on this site (once established).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
Jurisdiction
No jurisdiction is claimed or asserted. The operator has not registered a legal entity. This policy is provided as an honest description of the tool’s data practices, not as a legal instrument.
